The buildings in the Jalan Besar area have been given a new lease of life by 13 individuals born in Pahang who carried out the project from December 2020 to February 2021 to create 74 mural paintings depicting the identity of Kuantan. These murals span a distance of 500 meters. The most prominent mural is a 20-foot painting on the side of the building known as Shoe Cobbler, with the backdrop of Menara 188 Kuantan. An art piece and building structure depicting the Legendary Dragon of Tasik Chini has been painted on a 40-foot-high building, featuring an outer circular staircase that forms part of the dragon's body. The previously dark and gloomy back alley has now transformed into a colourful and cheerful street.
